Nigeria’s House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee investigating the Nigeria Liqufied Natural Gas Train-7 project has accused the General Manager, Standard project, Fatai Williams, and her management team of hiding vital documents from the Committee.
Chairman of the House Committee, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe at the rescheduled investigative hearing on the matter said the whole project management including waste process of the project is shrewded in secrecy
The Lawmaker who demanded that the agreement signed by the contractor handling the project be made available to the committee immediately also said that the cost implication of waste management of the project be made available.
The lawmaker further requested that the cost implication of the management of the Train 7 project be made available to the committee as well as its Environmental Impact Assessment, EIA.

Other committee members also discovered and queried the management team of the agency on why most of the documents presented by it weren’t signed or dated.
However, the representative of the Consortium for the Project, Innocent Ogbu and other officials told the lawmakers that the project managers haven’t taken final investment decision on the waste management.
He further explained that there is a standard waste management template for the Train 7 project and added that it had operated over 22 metric tonnes of gas every year since it started operations.
Still not satisfied, the Committee Chairman immediately discharged the project managers having ruled that relevant waste and cost implication document and other documents be availed the committee within one week.
