The federal capital territory independent investigative panel on allegations of human rights violations by the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has ordered the Delta state police command to provide four policemen allegedly involved in the extrajudicial killing of a young man, Ovoko Godwin.
Justice Suleiman Galadima gave this order on Thursday when Kambari Tambari who was the inspector general of police at the time of the incident claimed to have been in the same vehicle with the said policemen when the deceased jumped out of the moving vehicle and died before getting to the hospital
The deceased father, Godwin Onomrerhino, who is also the petitioner alleged that the police detained him arbitrarily after complaining about his son’s dismissal.

The Delta state police command on their part said the deceased to have been involved in an armed robbery case shortly before his death.
Justice Galadima however ordered for the post-mortem results of the deceased from Medisarj hospital in Delta state.
