Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has visited communities attacked by bandits, renewing his administration’s commitment to end insecurity in the State.
The governor’s visit was to show support to the people affected by the recent tragedy and to offer condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the Bandits’ attack at Nasarawan Zurmi and Nasarawan Godel In Zurmi and Birnin Magaji Local Government Areas of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

Bandits had last week attacked Nasarawan Zurmi and Nasarawan Godel in Zurmi and Birnin Magaji Local Government Areas of Zamfara State burning shops, houses, and police operational vehicles, and killing some persons in the troubled communities.
Governor Dauda Lawal who was away when the incident happened on return immediately paid a visit to the attacked Zamfara communities, and expressed solidarity with the communities, reassuring them of his government’s commitment to finding a lasting solution to the security situation.

While inspecting the police station burnt by bandits at Nasarawan Zurmi, Governor Dauda Lawal assured the police of his readiness to provide necessary assistance to enable them continue their operations unhindered.
Governor Lawal was accompanied on the visit by his deputy Malam Mumuni Malam Mani, Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, Chief of Staff, Mouktar Lugga, and other top government officials, where the governor told the people at Nasarawan Godel that he had sent relief materials to the victims immediately after the attack.
