Secondary school students in Nigeria

The Nigerian Government is worried about growing vices in secondary schools across the country. To find solutions to these challenges, the Federal Government has brought together, parents, teachers, school administrators and school prefects for brainstorming.

Minister of State for Education, Yusuf Shanunu who is presiding over the meeting says an end must be brought to substance abuse, gangsterism, cultism, truancy, immoral behaviour and a host of other social vices.

A communique is expected at the end of the meeting, which is expected to form part of new set of guidelines for students, parents, teachers and school proprietors.
