Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle has reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to strengthen bilateral ties with the Government of India in the area of Defence Cooperation.
A statement by his spokesperson, Henshaw Ogubike says the Minister stated this when he received the Permanent Secretary of the Indian Ministry of Defence, Anurag Bajpai and his delegation at the Ship House in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Matawalle outlined the areas of mutual Military Cooperation to include; Intelligence Sharing, Joint training and other support for Nigeria’s drive to end insecurity. And Permanent Secretary in the Nigerian Ministry of Defence, Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, appreciated the Indian government for the cordial relationship between both countries,

Visiting Permanent Secretary of the Indian Ministry of Defence, Anurag Bajpai described Nigeria as strategic partner to his country in Military diplomatic ties and promised to continue to build on the existing relationship between both countries.
