The Zamfara State Government says it is determined to ensure all parts of the state are accessible to residents, especially teachers and students.
The Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Wadatau Madawaki said this during a meeting the Permanent Secretary, Directors, and Civil Society Technical Team on Safe School Initiatives in Zamfara State.
He said successes have been recorded in the fight against banditry, saying from the 168 schools in the red alert zone, the number has reduced to 75.

Madawaki seized the opportunity to announce that the state government had offset the debt incurred by the previous administration to the National Examination Council, (NECO), and secured the original certificates for candidates of public schools who sat for the 2019, 2020, and 2021 examinations.
