The chairman of the Jos metropolitan development board Hart Bank, says there will be no going back on the full implementation of Executive Order 003 2024.
He said this at an accident scene at the Polo roundabout, in Jos the Plateau State Capital, where a heavy duty truck loaded with cement lost its brakes, ramming into several vehicles and a building.
No fewer than eight people cheated death at the Polo roundabout, which has become infamous for accidents involving heavy duty trucks.
The general manager of the Jos metropolitan development board Hart Bankat who was on the scene said, the accident is one too many, which has further justified the order 003 2024 recently passed by the Plateau state governor.
He said there is the need for government to take drastic measures to stop heavy duty trucks from plying roads within the city center during the day time.
As of the time of filling this report, security and emergency response agencies were on the ground to offer assistance to victims and to maintain order .
