Just In: NIPSS DG, Professor Habu Galadima dies in Abuja

The Director-General of the National Institute for Policy Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru located near Jos in Plateau State, Professor Habu Galadima, is dead.

Galadima, 57, died Sunday morning in Abuja on an undisclosed brief illness.

Secretary and Director of Administration of the Institute, Brigadier-General C.F.J Udaya (Rtd),  announced the death in a statement in Jos.

“On behalf of the Board of Governors, Management and staff of the National Institute, we regret to announce the sudden demise of the Director General of NIPSS, Prof Habu Galadima.

“This occurred this morning, December 20, after a brief illness.

“He will be buried according to Islamic rites,” he said.

Galadima’s death came barely one year after assuming office as the Director-General of NIPSS in August 2019.
