The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Godswill Akpabio has debunked allegations that the President Mohammadu Buhari directive for forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) was aimed at witch hunting some persons.

Akpabio who stated this in Port Harcourt said more contractors are back to site since the beginning of the forensic audit.

Since the establishment of the NDDC in the year 2000, a major issue that has come under scrutiny has been the effective performance of the interventionist agency, owing to the abandonment of about 12,000 projects for which money have been paid.

To address this challenge, the presidency ordered a forensic audit of the commission’s activities.
