With barely a month to the primaries of the two leading political parties in the November 16 Governorship election in Ondo State, most political actors are engaged in several intrigues in the build up to the much awaited contest to clinch their parties tickets.

The days ahead appear to be filled with interesting developments as the mode of primaries top the talking point for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The political atmosphere in Ondo State is already gathering momentum in preparation for the April party primaries ahead of the November 16 Governorship election scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

In the APC, about 20 aspirants including the State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and some former lawmakers have indicated interest, while the PDP, currently has 10 persons who have expressed interest to contest the Governorship seat.

One of the talking points among the gladiators is the mode of primaries the various political parties intend to adopt to pick their respective party candidates. Political watchers and key players believe the outcome of the primaries will go a long way in determining the dimension, the Governorship election scheduled for November will take.

Meanwhile, other political parties aside the two leading political parties in the state are also gearing up preparations to pick their flag-bearers.
