Ekiti state is witnessing a rush by people who are yet to register for their National Identification Number.
The Head office of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, in Ado the Ekiti state capital is besieged by a large crowd who do not observe physical distancing.
The NIMC office on its part provides facilities prescribed for COVID 19 control within its establishment but there’s no mechanism to regulate activities of the crowd outside the narrow gate.

The people complain of the delay in having the registration done as they also allege sales of the registration forms by the NIMC.
But the commission refutes the allegation, insisting any sale of form outside its premises cannot be linked to it.
