The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG, in charge of zone one, Sadiq Bello, says the security challenges disturbing Residents of Kano and Jigawa States will be overcome in 2021 through collaboration and synergy between the two states.
AIG Sadiq Bello stated this shortly after a closed door meeting with the two commissioners of police of Kano and Jigawa states.
He said the meeting was aimed at reviewing the security challenges bedeviling the zone and also to find technical solutions to the problem.

Commissioners of police in the zone, said some of the security challenges facing the zone includes rape, mobile phone snatching, armed robbery, Kidnapping, illicit drugs trading, farmer- herder clashes among others.
They urged the people to continue to give men of the Nigerian Police Force the maximum cooperation to enable them combat crime effectively in the zone.
