Taraba State Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu and the Senator representing Taraba South in the Senate, Emmanuel Bwacha say, there is a need for synergy between the Taraba State Government and the National Assembly, in the interest of the people.

Both leaders were speaking at the flag-off of the Mararaban Donga Federal Road, in Donga Local Government Area of the State.

The long-awaited project is the pathway to some of the major farming communities in Taraba State. Mararaban Donga links Takum, Donga, and Kurmi Local Government Areas. The road project is seeing the light of day following the cessation of the reported rift between the Taraba State Government and some of its representatives in the National Assembly.

The project which is worth N6.39 billion was flagged off by the Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu. The lack of access roads has slowed down agricultural and economic activities in the area for decades.

Manu also pleaded for the construction of other strategic federal roads, such as the Jalingo-Numan, and the Zing-Ngurore Roads.

The Deputy Minority Leader and the senator representing Taraba South at the National Assembly, Emmanuel Bwacha, appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari, for approving the project, and cautions the contractor on the need to execute the project diligently or face the consequences.
