Ministers, heads of agencies and other government officials have been directed not to travel abroad with public funds for three months between April 1 and June 30 this year.

A document sighted by AIT indicates President Bola Tinubu’s concern with the rising cost of travel expenses borne by ministries, departments and agencies and the need for them to stay at their desks and focus on their duties.

The document, signed by the chief of staff Femi Gbajabiamila has directed the secretary to the government of the Federation to put all concerned on notice.
