The government at all levels has been called upon to intensify efforts in providing all the necessary support to families of fallen heroes who fought to protect the territorial integrity of the Nation.
The call was made by the leaders of the Nigerian Legionnaires as they marked the Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Bauchi.
The day’s commemoration featured wreath-laying and gun salute for the fallen heroes who lost their lives protecting the country to be one indivisible entity.
However, the state’s Chairman and National President of the Legionnaires’ Wives Association of Nigeria, Danjuma Idris and Fatima Danjuma, appreciate the government for the support being rendered to the ex-soldiers and their widows.

They say, more needs to be done, as some of them find it difficult to cater for themselves.
Bauchi State governor, represented by his deputy, Baba Tela, said the day is worth celebrating, reiterating the government’s commitment to see that the sacrifices made by the fallen heroes are not in vain.
As Nigerians celebrate the 2021 armed forces remembrance day, the need for all and sundry to support the country’s fallen heroes and the security agents cannot be over emphasized.
