Nigeria sets new record with 1,867 highest daily infections

Nigeria has set a record with 1,867 new Covid-19 cases as highest daily infection. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 107,345.

There are 24 states with new Covid-19 cases in Nigeria including Lagos-713; Plateau-273; FCT-199; Kaduna-117; Oyo-79; Enugu-58; Ondo-53; Kano-49 and Sokoto-43.

Others states are Ogun and Osun-37 each; Nasarawa-36; Rivers-28; Benue, Delta and Niger-24 each; Gombe-18; Edo-15; Taraba-12; Bayelsa-10; Ekiti-9; Borno-6; Zamfara-2; Jigawa-1.

Meanwhile, 705 persons have been discharged across Nigeria in last 24 hours after successful treatment of Covid-19. The total number of recoveries so far is put at 84,535

There are 8 people who die of Covid-19 related complications in Nigeria as national death toll stands at 1,413.
