It would be recalled that in the early hours of Saturday, March 9 terrorists raided Gidan Bakuso, in the Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto state, and abducted 17 Almajiri children from a Tsagaya school. The terrorists also abducted a woman, four days later.

The Sokoto State Police Command confirmed that the terrorists contacted the teacher of the Tsagaya school demanding N20,000 million as ransom.

But 12 days later, all 18 abducted persons were rescued by security operatives and handed over to the Sokoto State Government which says it would rehabilitate and provide them with food items and money to help them settle back into society.
