The Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), in Plateau State on Sunday night gunned down two suspected kidnappers at a robbery point along Jos-Mangu road.
AIT gathered that the Sunday night operation along the Jos-Mangu road which was led by one Officer, Abdulrahman Isah aka Dinyau followed a tip-off by locals within the community.
An eyewitness and resident of Mangu Local Government, Mamot Akims, said the operation followed days of sustained terrorism by criminal gangs in the locality.
The Plateau State Police Command through its Spokesperson, ASP Gabriel Ubah, while confirming the development said the command is aware of the operation and will continue to get rid of Criminal elements in the State.

It would be recalled that the Plateau state has witnessed an increase in criminal activities in recent times which includes kidnappings, herdsmen attacks, and robberies among others.
