Late Reverend Ralpheal Madu Laid To Rest In Owerri

Late Reverend Ralpheal Madu

The remains of late Monsignor Raphael Madu have been laid to rest at the Assumpter Catholic Cathedral Owerri, Imo state capital.

Hundreds of Catholic faithfuls gathered at Maria Assumpter cathedral to bid Farewell to the clergyman.

It was a moment of sober reflection for the Catholics, as they gathered at the Assumpter Cathedral to mourn the exit of one of their own.

Rev. Monsignor Raphael Madu, until his death was the Secretary General of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria for six years.

He was also Chaplain of St. Gabriel Catholic Chaplaincy, Abuja and later served as Chaplain Government House, Owerri.

Catholic Bishop of Aba, Most Rev. Augustine Echema in his homely, eulogised late Rev. Madu for his virtues.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma expressed shock over Rev Madu’s demise and described the clergy as an achiever and a builder, who will be seriously missed.

Family members also reacted to the death of their brother

The church will greatly miss late Reverend Raphael Madu for his passion towards church development and community empowerment.

In attendance were Bishops, Clergymen and Government functionaries. May his Soul rest in peace
