No release of new Covid-19 cases from Lagos as Nigeria records 1,483 infections

The number of new Covid-19 cases in Lagos State in the last 24 hours has not been released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. No reason has been given for this action even though the Centre acknowledges it in a tweet.

Meanwhile, 23 states have reported 1,483 new infections across Nigeria in last 24 hours. Kaduna State leads the pack with 545 new Covid-19 cases; FCT-235; Plateau-127; Nasarawa-80; Oyo-72; Delta-65; Rivers-64; Kano and Ogun-46 each.

Others are Bayelsa and Gombe-30 each; Abia-28; Osun-27; Edo-25; Ondo-14; Sokoto-12; Zamfara-10; Bauchi-8; Imo-5; Jigawa, Ekiti and Borno-4 each;
Niger-2.

Nigeria now has a total number of 118,138 confirmed cases after 1,241,230 samples were tested for Covid-19.

Out of the total number of confirmed cases, 94,150 have been successfully treated with 1,490 deaths recorded nationwide.

The NCDC data also shows that 504 Covid-19 patients were discharged across Nigeria with 5 deaths recorded in last 24 hours.
