The United Nations Security Council has finally passed a resolution for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas War
Fourteen of the 15-member council voted in support of the resolution which allows for unfettered humanitarian aid to the bombed-out Gaza Strip.

The United States, which has vetoed at least 3 previous draft resolutions abstained.
The terms of the resolution adds that Hamas must release all Israeli hostages taken after the October 7 attack.
