Governor Dauda Lawal he as warned that if nothing is done to end recent the escalation of terrorist activities in Zamfara State then insecurity will not be addressed in Northern Nigeria.
Lawal was speaking after his meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has ordered the establishment of a strong security outfit in the Lake Chad Basin so that people can have access to the agricultural lands.
This was made known by Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum who spoke with Journalists after meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
Governor Zulum also said that government will soon resume the repatriation of Nigerians living in the neighbouring countries of Chad, Niger Republic and Cameroon as refugees after fleeing their communities to escape terrorist attacks.
The Governor also emphasised the need for the Federal Government to re-establish the South Chad Irrigation Project as Borno State now has relative peace.
Governor Zulum also confirmed that President Tinubu has given approval for the immediate takeoff of the Federal College of Education Gwoza.
