National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP, Julius Abure has gone ahead to hold the planned National Convention despite opposition from the major stakeholder, Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC led by Joe Ajaero.
The National Convention which will elect national officers of the party is holding in Nnewi, Anambra State, South-East Nigeria.

Anambra is the home state of the party’s national leader and former presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
