Just In: DHQ declares 8 persons wanted over killing of 17 soldiers in Delta State

The Defence Headquarters declared eight persons including a woman, Igoli Ebi wanted in connection with the killing of 17 personnel of the Nigerian army in Okuama community of Ugheli South LGA of Delta State, South-South Nigeria.

Director of Defence Media Operations, Major-General Edward Buba who stated this in Abuja added that if need be, the military will place a bounty on them to ensure they are fished out.

He made this known while releasing names and pictures of the eight wanted persons during the bi-weekly briefing on operations of the Armed Forces across the country.

Others declared wanted include Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono (aka Amangben), Professor Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriri, Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki, Clement Ikolo Oghenerukevwe and Reuben Baru.

He added that a Federal High Court in Borno State has ordered the release of no fewer than 313 suspected terrorists arrested by the military. The court ordered their release for lack of evidence to nail the suspects after investigation.

Accordingly, they would be handed over to the Borno State Government for further action.
