The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed seven hundred personnel to various flash points and possible trouble spots, to maintain security before, during, and after the Easter celebration.
In a briefing to operatives, details of which were contained in a press statement, State Commandant, Sani Mustapha, expressed optimism of a hitch-free Easter celebration in the State.

Mustapha said the Corps, under his watch in the state will create a conducive security atmosphere for all and sundry, including holidaymakers, during the Easter celebration.
He also said the same attention to security will be given as Muslims observe the Holy Month of Ramadan adding that that the Corps has galvanised all units and organs of the Corps within the Zamfara State Command to adequately beef up security.
Mustapha also urged the Rapid Response Squad, and the Counter Terrorism Units of the Corps, to brace up during the period of Iftar, which is obligatory for Muslims and coincides with the Easter celebration.
He said night patrols must be intensified, as there will be no room for any security breach, The Commandant, warned those he termed saboteurs, mischief makers, miscreants and hoodlums to stay away from the state as the corps is poised to deal decisively with anyone who violates the peace and serenity of Zamfara State.
