The Federal High Court in Abuja has been informed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC that Faisal Maina, son of the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reformed Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, is on the run to the United States of America.
When the trial came up on Thursday, counsel for the anti-graft agency, Mohammed Abubakar, said according to information made available to him, Faizal sneaked to the USA through the Republic of Niger despite his Nigerian and American passports still with the registry of the court.
But the allegation was denied by counsel for Faisal, Anayo Adibe, and insisted that his client was arrested by the Nigeria Police Force in Sokoto. He urged the court to open an inquiry as to the true whereabouts of Faizal.

The trial has been adjourned till March 31, 2021.
