Enugu State Commissioner for Transportation, Mathias Ekweremadu is dead.
He was reported to have slumped at the complex of the Enugu State House of Assembly Committee on Transportation.
Mathias is the elder brother of the former deputy Senate President and incumbent Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial district, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
A source at the House of Assembly Committee room where the incident happened, says the deceased was immediately rushed to a highbrow private hospital in the state capital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Officials of the Enugu state government could not confirm the news but rather referred ait.live to the family.

The late Mathias Ekweremadu was appointed a Commissioner in 2019 but had served as a member of the Enugu State House of Assembly representing Aninri constituency.
He equally served as the Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area at various times
