President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Most Reverend Daniel Okoh is asking leaders at all levels to heed the lessons of Easter and govern with wisdom, fairness, and genuine commitment to the common good.
The clergyman said this in Abuja in his Easter message to Nigerian Christians as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter. He urged them to ensure that peace reigns supreme throughout the season and beyond.
Okoh stressed that in the midst of daily challenges and triumphs, Easter stands as a timeless reminder of hope, renewal, and redemption. It is a season that calls humanity to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice made for them and the triumph of light over darkness.
Adding that the lessons of Easter hold particular relevance for Nigerian society in a time marked by uncertainty, they are called to embody the virtues of love for one another. Just as Christ’s resurrection brought new life and hope to the world, so too Nigeria as a country can rise above their differences and difficulties; and work towards a brighter future
