The Turkish Football Federation have summoned Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel, to appear before its disciplinary committee.

Two of his Fenerbahce teammates were also summoned by the TKF.

Osayi-Samuel and his teammates were involved in a fight with Trabzonspor fans after a Turkish Super Lig clash last month.

Osayi-Samuel and his teammates were involved in a fight with the fans.

The players could face a lengthy ban of as much as 10 matches, according to the rules and regulations of the Turkish FA.

Trouble started when Trabzonspor fans entered the pitch after the referee blew the final whistle which the away side Fenerbahce won 3-2.

The Fenerbahce players, together with coaching staff celebrated their victory in the centre circle which angered the home fans.

One of Trabzonspor fan, who was putting on a mask, tried to get to the Fenerbahce players before Osayi-Samuel went after him and punched him.

Thirteen Trabzonspor fans were arrested with five placed in pre-trial detention.

Last month’s violent incident was the latest to affect Turkish football this season.

In 2016 a game between the two teams was abandoned in the closing minutes after an assistant referee was attacked by a home supporter.

Osayi-Samuel was in action for the Super Eagles in last month’s international friendly games against Ghana and Mali.

He helped the Eagles reach the final of the African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire where they finished second.
