The Bauchi State government has demolished a building at Unguwar Mahaukata, a suburb of the state capital, following the discovery of hundreds of live General Purpose Machine Guns, ammunition, security uniforms, and other incriminating items on the premises.
The demolition of the four-bedroom building was supervised by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Ladan Salihu on Governor Bala Mohammed’s orders Salihu said the demolition of the building was necessary considering the discovery of the items there.

He said the action was part of government’s responsibility to protect the lives and property of citizens, adding that government will not hesitate to deal with anyone group or persons attempting to truncate the peace of the state.
He also said, relevant security agencies have been directed to thoroughly investigate the matter.
