The Nigerian Senate on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Victor Chinemeren Muruako as Chairman of Fiscal Responsibility Commission, FRC.
The Senate confirmation followed the presentation and consideration of the report of the committee on finance.
The confirmation of Muruako as substantive Chairman of FRC however generated a lot of reactions from lawmakers who questioned the legality of his nomination after acting in that capacity for 7 years.

The lawmakers also warned against the improper constitution of the board of the Commission.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on February 9th sought Senate’s approval for Victor Muruako as Chairman for the Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
