The Zamfara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Sani Mustapha, says the corps has strategized to forestall any security breach in Gusau, the State capital, especially during the last ten days of Ramadan, when Muslims observe the Tahajjud prayers from 1:00 am. to 2:00 am.
The idea according to him, is to enable Muslims observe Ramadan peacefully and without experiencing any attacks by bandits in the State.
Commandant Sani Mustapha disclosed the security arrangements while speaking exclusively with ait.live in Gusau, on measures being put in place by of Corps to beef up security and protect critical national infrastructure and assets in Zamfara State.

This is coming on the back drop of resurgence of banditry activities, attacks and abductions, and threats to the Gusau metropolis in recent times.
The Zamfara NSCDC Commandant explained that the Command has beefed up its surveillance and patrol, to prevent any possible invasion and attack on any parts of the State, especially the State capital, Gusau.
The Commandant Sani Mustapha, says, it is in the light of this that the Corps has mobilised human and material resources, to ensure it safeguards the lives of the citizens during Ramadan fast and beyond, as well as protect critical national infrastructure and assets in the State.
He disclosed that the command has deployed well-armed personnel to the various critical national infrastructures and assets, to protect them, stressing that it is their leading mandate, and that the Commandant General, Ahmed Audi, has provided all that is required for them to deliver; hence, they have no excuse to fail in carrying out their duties.
