Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Abutu Yaro, has begun an Operational visit to locations of Operation Puff Adder and Police Special Forces Operatives, who were deployed to Zamfara State to combat the recent wave of insecurity.
Speaking after visits to various locations he said the objective of the tour is to assess the operatives and their operational capacities, capabilities, and strength, in tackling banditry in the state.
The rural communities visited by the Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, include, Gwashi, Adabka in Bulkkuyum, Dan Baza in Maradun, and Mayanchi in Maru Local Government Areas of the state.

He told the officers and men to be professionally alive to their constitutional mandate, and work in synergy with host communities, to restore peace and order in the affected areas.
On the poor road network within rural communities which hampers prompt response to distress calls, the Commissioner of Police described it as part of the challenges of a developing country.
Members of Mayanchi Community in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State commended the operatives of Operation Puff Adder Two, who were recently deployed to the community, for exemplary conduct and prompt response to distress calls.
