Mass defection has hit the Edo state chapter of the peoples Democratic party, PDP ahead of governorship election slated for September twenty first this year.
Top on the list of the Defectors are two time Senator from Edo South senatorial district Matthew Uhroghide, former clerk of the national assembly Patrick Giwa, eight past council chairmen and vice chairmen under the present PDP government in the state amongst others dumped the ruling PDP to join the APC.
The mass defectors were officially received by the bigwigs of Edo APC in a reception party this Saturday in Benin City
