It was in the earlier hours of Friday, when parents began to receive calls from their wards, that gunmen have broken the perimeter fence of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, to abduct some students.

The news of the incident left many parents shattered.

For some of the parents whose children are victims of the abduction, they are yet to recover from the shock.

According to Aruwan, security operatives are engaging the bandits to make sure the students are rescued.

He said, so far, about 180 have been rescued, while about 30 are still missing.

Parents whose children are among those rescued, expressed gratitude, but called on the government to rescue those that are still missing.

The Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation is a few meters adjacent to the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, Kaduna.

Some of the students who sustained injuries during the attack are now receiving treatment at the NDA Medical facility.
