The government of Ebonyi State, South East Nigeria says it is ready to collaborate with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI, in the mass production and utilization of local solar power and some agricultural equipment in the state.
Governor Dave Umahi gave this indication after an audience at the Government House, Abakaliki with a team of Engineers from NASENI, led by the Agency’s Executive Vice Chairman, Professor Sani Haruna.
Governor Umahi, himself an Engineer by training, believes that the solution to the country’s challenges lies in the ingenuity of the citizens, especially the young ones, to harness the local resources for engineering and technological development.

The Governor is confident that the collaboration with the NASENI will bring about economic prosperity to the state.
The Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, Professor Sani Haruna explains that the Agency which was established in 1992, has the capacity to facilitate amongst others, local mass production of standard parts, goods, and services needed for the nation’s technological advancement.
