An alarm has been raised by youths in Wukari Local Government Area, over renewed cases of kidnappings and banditry in Southern Taraba State.
An attack on a primary school in Nuha community in the Local Government Area has already left 3 classroom blocks razed by bandits.
However, the Taraba State Police Command says, it is doing everything possible to address the new wave of crime in the state.
The farming season begins in few months, and residents in Southern Taraba state, a major agricultural hub.
Aside from several cases of kidnap, a primary school was attacked in Wukari Local Government Area, with 3 out of its 6 classroom blocks burned down by suspected bandits.

A borehole was also vandalised by the assailants.
Youths in southern Taraba want the security beefed up, and all suspects, apprehended, to stop the situation from degenerating.
Taraba State Government has also expressed worry over the renewed security threat.
However, the Taraba State Police Command says, it has launched a clampdown on criminal activities in the state, which has yielded results, with the arrest of nine suspects, for kidnapping, ritual killing, impersonation and other criminal activities.
The Police paraded the suspects at its command headquarters in Jalingo.
The renewed assault on citizens by criminal elements have continued to stall economic activities in the past few years, and more disturbing is its threat to food security in Taraba State, and the country.
