A passenger Aircraft belonging to Dana Airlines on Tuesday morning skidded off the runway upon landing at the Murtala Muhammad Airport in Lagos, the Nigerian commercial capital city.
Spokesman of the Airline, Kingsley Ezenwa in a Press release, said the aircraft with registration number 5N BkI was flying in from Abuja to Lagos.
He disclosed that all 83 passengers and crew on-board the flight disembarked safely, without injuries or scare as the crew handled the situation with utmost professionalism.
Ezenwa noted that the Airline has notified the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Accident Investigation agency of the incident as the aircraft involved has
been grounded by the maintenance team of the airline.
The statement was silent on the possible cause of the accident, which unofficial sources suggest may be as a result of the heavy rainfall in Lagos.
