Fraudsters are trying to defraud potential beneficiaries of the student loan scheme with the promotion of a fake enrollment website.
A statement from NELFUND’s spokesman, Nasir Ayitogo, says all students eligible for the loans to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of any website or service claiming to represent the agency.
NELFUND says the official channel for student loan applications, which is yet to be functional is www.nelf.gov.ng.

NELFUND is disclaiming the fraudulent website, a few hours before President Bola Tinubu appointed businessman and banker Jim Ovia as the chairman of the Nigerian education loan fund, NELFUND.
NELFUND is an agency of government established to provide loan facilities to Nigerian students for education and skills development.
