Good Friday

Nigerian Government has been urged to engage more religious leaders to help in getting information of Covid-19 Vaccine to the larger population.

This was the opinion of some Christian leaders as part of their Good Friday Message to Nigerian humanitarian organization in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital.

Apostle Gloria Ukot of God Salvation Ministry in Calabar said Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary for the sake of humanity, linking the reported short supply and hoarding of Covid-19 Vaccines in some part of the Country as inhumanity on the part of leadership.

The Clergy called on Government to improve on its advocacy and sensitization using the various religious houses in ensuring that their large congregations benefit from the vaccines.

On their part, other men of God who spoke differently on the insecurity in the country, urged those in positions of authority to emulate the teaching of Jesus Christ, saying Leadership is all about service to humanity.

The church leaders stressed that faith-based organisations and community health workers must work together in ensuring that the campaign to embrace the COVID-19 vaccine is accepted by all.
