The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara CP Muhammad Dalijan has presented cheques of Fifty million, one hundred and forty-five thousand, one hundred and nineteen naira eighty-three kobo (50,145,119.83) to the 27 next of kins of the officers who died while serving their Father Land.
The Commissioner of Police who presented cheques on behalf of the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun said the cheques were part of the IGP initiative under the Group Personal Accident and IGP family welfare insurance schemes of the Force to assist the families of officers who pay the supreme price.
He appreciated the IGP for the kind gesture to families of Deceased officers, and also appealed to the families to make good use of the money and take care of their families.
Yahaya Umar, one of the beneficiaries who responded on behalf of other beneficiaries, thanked the Inspector General of police and the state commissioner of police Muhammad Dalijan for the support, assuring that the money given to them will be spent wisely.
