President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the transition of the Presidential Taskforce on covid 19, PTF to a Presidential Steering Committee on covid 19 effective April 1 2021 till 31st December 2021.
The Steering Committee is a modified mandate to reflect the non emergent status of covid-19 as a potentially long term pandemic.

PTF Chairman, Boss Mustapha who announced the change In name at Tuesday’s briefing , affirmed that the new Body will Maintain the Current Constitution , Functions and Strategies of the PTF.
