Imo residents have condemned in strong terms the attacks by gunmen on the state in the last two days.
They expressed fear over the rate of insecurity which they say might have overwhelmed the security Force in the state
In the last two days, Imo State has experienced series of attacks beginning with assault on police headquarters in Owerri.

Gunmen also attacked Owerri Correctional Center freeing 1884 inmates and razing over 50 vehicles. Another incident occurred in Ehime Mbano where a Police Divisional Office came under attack.
Imo residents are, therefore, calling on the state government to take urgent action for the peace of the country.
They also want the Federal Government to convene a state security meeting to brainstorm on how possibly to tighten up the security of the country.
