A statement by the Public Education Officer in Ogun State Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps, FRSC, Chief Route Commander Florence Okpe, says five other people were injured and five vehicles engulfed in the flames.

The suspected cause of the crash was brake failure as the vehicle ran into road barricade leading to the explosion and engulfed other vehicles and shops.

The body of the victim has been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital in Abeokuta.

Meanwhile, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has expressed sympathy with victims of the gas explosion at Ita-Oshin area of Abeokuta, the state capital.
