In a bid to find lasting solutions to banditry in the state, the Katsina State government has expressed its readiness to collaborate with the sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi foundation towards establishing Qur’anic schools in remote Fulani settlements.
Governor Aminu Masari who made this known during the foundations quranic graduation ceremony of over nine hundred and sixty students of the school said it will go along way towards reversing the ugly trend among the nomadic Fulanis.

Adviser on Security Matters, Ibrahim Katsina stressed that educating herdsmen in their various settlements will assist government efforts of curtailing the menace of banditry and other crimes.
Katsina further said, security is the major challenge of the government, hence the need for all stakeholders to collaborate with the union towards overcoming the problems.
He therefore charged the Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Katsina State to introduce programmes aimed at enlightening the herdsmen on the need to obtain Islamic and modern education.
