Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has sworn-in the First Female Chief Judge of the State. She is Aisha Bashir Aliyu
At the Ceremony which took place at the Government house in Lafia, Governor Sule, also inaugurated the chairman and members of the local government service commission.

After administering the oath of office, the governor said that his administration takes the judiciary as a critical institution, which provides the needed impetus to strengthen relationships among the various organs of government.
Sule added that his administration will continue to support the quick dispensation of justice, stressing that government has also approved an increase in the subvention of the judiciary, to allow for the implementation of the harmonization law.
The Nasarawa State Governor also appealed to the members of the striking Judicial Staff Union, to return to work in the interest of the people.
