Suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Tuesday evening invaded Damasak, the headquarters of Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno state, wreaking causing mayhem without confrontation.
According to sources, the armed group razed the Divisional Police Command, schools, shops, and residential buildings as they hoisted their flags in strategic locations.

This comes after a similar attack last Sunday when insurgents invaded the town and killed three soldiers alongside six civilians.
As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian military is yet to issue a statement on the attack.
