Minister of Works, David Umahi says he has been directed to immediately commence design for a 1000-kilometre Sokoto-Badagry Highway.
Umahi made this known late Sunday while inspecting ongoing demolition of structures along the right of way of the 700-kilometre Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
The Minister added that another road construction from Enugu-Abakaliki-Ogoja to Cameroun which will cover about 361 kilometres is under consideration.
Umahi who had flagged off the demolition of structures along the right of way of the Coastal Highway added that the exercise would continue till Kilometre four of the road.
