If you are fond of publishing libelous stories that could amount to defamation of character; then you might have a rethink or face legal sanction.
The Delta State High Court Effurun on Monday April 29th 2024 ordered Nigerian female blogger writer entrepreneur Linda Ikeji to pay thirty million naira as general damage to the Neo Black Movement of Africa for a libelous publication made by the defendant.
Trouble started when the blogger in her publication of October 19th 2021 allegedly referred to the NBM of Africa as a dreaded cult group, criminal organisation among other use of unprintable words.

While delivering judgment Justice Roli Daibo-Harriman ordered Ikeji to place a publication in her blog and two national dailies retracting the said libelous publication.
The judge also ordered the blogger to pay three hundred thousand Naira as cost of litigation while restraining her from making further damaging publications against members of the Neo-Black Movement of Africa.
