The Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, Zamfara State branch, has joined the nationwide peaceful protest to demand the implementation of the judiciary financial autonomy.
The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Zamfara State branch also joined the peaceful protest in solidarity and support to the JUSUN, to ensure the implementation of the judiciary workers’ demands.

The state’s Chairman of the JUSUN, Zamfara State branch, Comrade Danbaba Gusau, said that the strike embarked upon by the union will continue until the government meets their demands.

He said the peaceful protest was to send a message to the government and the public, concerning the need for government to implement financial autonomy, and for the Zamfara State Government, to equalize the salaries of judiciary workers.

The Chief of Staff, Government House Gusau, retired Colonel Bala Mande, assured the judiciary workers that the state government will implement the demands that concern the state, but will have no jurisdiction over those with a national outlook.
The JUSUN placards had inscriptions bearing Judiciary Financial Autonomy, Governor Respect The Law, Respect Court Judgements, among others.
